Capon Springs Run is a 4.8-mile-long stream in Hampshire County, West Virginia. It is a shallow, rocky, non-navigable tributary of the Cacapon River. The stream begins at Capon Springs on the east side of Great North Mountain, east of Capon Springs, and flows west past Capon Springs Resort alongside Capon Springs Road (WV Route 16) along Middle Ridge, where it joins Himmelwright Run. To the south lies the George Washington National Forest. At its confluence with Dry Run at Capon Springs Station, Capon Springs Run meets the old Winchester and Western Railroad grade, where a trestle and passenger station once stood. The stream enters the Cacapon River at Capon Lake, near the Capon Lake Whipple Truss Bridge. Capon Springs Run is mainly used for farming and watering livestock, and its wetlands provide habitat for wildlife.
