1999–2000 Djurgårdens IF Hockey season
Djurgårdens IF won the Elitserien title, finishing first in the league, one point ahead of Brynäs. After a tough seven-game quarterfinal against Färjestad, Djurgården beat Luleå 3–0 in the semifinals and then defeated Modo Hockey 3–0 in the finals to become Swedish champions for the first time since 1991.
Coached by Hardy Nilsson and Mats Waltin, with Charles Berglund as captain, the team played at Globen and drew an average crowd of 7,437 (second in the league).
Season record: 23–12–15; Goals for 180, Goals against 127.
Team leaders: Goals — Kristofer Ottosson (25); Assists — Espen Knutsen (35); Points — Espen Knutsen (53); Penalty minutes — Mikael Magnusson (73); Goals-against average — Mikael Tellqvist (2.22).
Note: This season also saw Nilsson introduce Torpedo hockey.
