Gemini Man (Music from the Motion Picture) is the film score for the 2019 Ang Lee movie Gemini Man. Composer Lorne Balfe wrote 17 tracks for the soundtrack, which was released on October 11, 2019, by Paramount Music—the same day as the film. A limited edition CD of 3,000 copies was issued by La-La Land Records.

The story centers on Will Smith playing two versions of the same man: Henry Brogan and his younger clone, Jackson “Junior.” Balfe created two main themes to represent the characters, and they often play over each other to show their deep connection. Cellist Tina Guo contributed, using an electric cello for Henry and an acoustic cello for Junior to reflect their different realities.

Production notes: In February 2019, Marco Beltrami was hired to score the film, but Balfe replaced him in June 2019 after meeting Ang Lee through producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Balfe focused on the emotional dynamic between Henry and Jackson and wrote music that would help convey that relationship on screen.

Reception: The score received mixed reviews. Some critics praised the main theme and described the score as energetic and memorable, calling it rousing and propulsive. Others found it adequate but not outstanding, or felt it didn’t live up to Ang Lee’s usual thoughtful scores.

Length and recording: The music runs about 61 minutes and 42 seconds. It was recorded July–September 2019 at Remote Control Productions.
