1992–93 RCD Español season: It was the club’s 58th season and their third straight in Spain’s top division. The president was Julio Pardo. The head coach was Novoa until 30 May, then Juanjo Díaz from 31 May. They played their home games at the Sarrià Stadium. In La Liga, Español finished 18th and were relegated after a relegation playoff, with Racing de Santander winning 1–0 on aggregate. In the Copa del Rey, they reached the fourth round. The top scorer was Xavier Escaich with 12 goals in the league and 12 in all competitions.
