The 1992–93 Cypriot First Division was the 54th season of Cyprus’s top football league. Fourteen teams played a double round robin (each team faced every other team twice, at home and away). A win earned three points, a draw one, and a loss zero. Omonia won the title, their 17th championship. Aris and APOP were relegated to the Second Division. Evagoras finished 12th and had to play a two-legged playoff against Alki Larnaca, the third-placed team in the 1992–93 Cypriot Second Division; Evagoras won both matches and stayed in the First Division for 1993–94.

The champions, Omonia, qualified for the 1993–94 UEFA Champions League (preliminary round), while the league runners-up earned a spot in the UEFA Cup. APOEL earned a place in the Cup Winners’ Cup via the Cypriot Cup (qualifying round). In total, 182 matches were played and 612 goals were scored, an average of 3.36 per game. The top scorer was Sladan Scepovic with 25 goals.
