Moorella (bacterium)

Moorella is a genus of bacteria in the Bacillota phylum. These bacteria are heat-loving (thermophilic), do not need oxygen (anaerobic), and form tough spores. Many species come from hot springs. Moorella was created as a separate group from some Clostridium species after a taxonomic review, and the name honors American microbiologist W. E. C. Moore.
