1992 Southwest Conference women's basketball tournament
The 1992 Southwest Conference women's basketball tournament took place March 11–14 at Moody Coliseum in Dallas. Eight teams played in a single-elimination bracket. Texas Tech, the No. 1 seed, defeated No. 2 seed Texas 76–74 to win their first conference title and earn the automatic NCAA bid. Texas and Houston also earned at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament. The Most Valuable Player was Sheryl Swoopes of Texas Tech, and the Red Raiders were coached by Marsha Sharp, who also earned her first title.
