Jim Sims
Jim Sims (James Morton Sims) was an English cricketer born on 13 May 1903. He played for Middlesex in 381 first-class matches from 1929 to 1952 as a right-handed batsman and spin bowler, scoring 7,173 runs (highest 121) and taking 1,257 wickets (best 9/92). He also played four Test matches for England between 1935 and 1937. In 1969 he succeeded Jim Alldis as Middlesex’s scorer and held that role until his sudden death from a heart attack on 27 April 1973.
