Rewmi is a political party in Senegal led by Idrissa Seck. Seck founded the party in 2006 after splitting from the Senegalese Democratic Party. The party is based in Dakar and follows liberal, economically liberal, centrist ideas.

Rewmi boycotted the 2007 parliamentary elections. Seck ran for president in 2012 and finished fifth, then endorsed Macky Sall for the second round. The party joined Sall’s United in Hope coalition for the 2012 elections, which won the majority of seats, but in 2013 the party’s leadership voted to leave the alliance due to disagreements with Sall.

In 2019, Idrissa Seck ran for president again and finished second with 20.51% of the vote, his best result at the time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped coordinate opposition efforts and Macky Sall on a common plan. He was named president of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council on 1 November 2020, and Rewmi joined the government with two ministers, ending the public rift with Sall.

In 2022, Rewmi competed in local and national elections as part of United in Hope, but suffered defeats, including in its stronghold Thiès, which weakened Seck’s position. He ran again in the 2024 presidential election.

Affiliations include the national Takku Wallu Sénégal alliance, the Africa Liberal Network, and the Liberal International.
