1991–92 Lancashire Cup
The 1991–92 Lancashire Cup was the 79th edition of the regional knockout rugby league competition. It featured 17 teams. St Helens won the trophy by beating Rochdale Hornets 24–14 in the final.
Because there were 17 entrants, a preliminary round (one match) was played to reduce the field to 16 for the first round. The reigning champions Widnes were knocked out by Second Division side Workington Town in a major upset. Trafford Borough suffered a club-record defeat, losing 12–104 to St Helens.
The final took place at Wilderspool in Warrington, with 9,269 spectators and receipts of £44,278. St Helens won the trophy, but the celebration was marred when Paul Bishop was sent off after the match for stamping on Rochdale’s Brett Clark.
