The 1984 Carson–Newman Eagles football team represented Carson–Newman College (now Carson–Newman University) in the South Atlantic Conference during the 1984 NAIA Division I season. In his fifth year as head coach, Ken Sparks led the team to a 10–2–1 record (6–1 in the SAC), won the conference title, and tied Central Arkansas 19–19 in the Champion Bowl to become the NAIA national co-champions. This was the second of five national championships Carson–Newman would win in the 1980s (1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989).
