Amphibulima pardalina
Amphibulima pardalina is a tropical land snail that breathes air. It belongs to the family Amphibulimidae and is found only on the Caribbean island of Dominica. Its type locations are Mount Kuliabon and Morne Diablotin. The species has a very restricted range and is likely Critically Endangered. It lives in damp, cool cloud forests at higher elevations.
This snail shows color variation, with some individuals being light and others dark. Its shell is elongated-oval, about 20 mm long and 11 mm wide, and has a thin, somewhat translucent amber color. It has three whorls, a small rounded spire, and a large opening. The surface is finely textured with a criss-cross pattern and often bears rows of small tawny spots.
