Aono Dam

Aono Dam (青野ダム) is a gravity dam in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. It is used for flood control and to provide water supply. The catchment area is 51.8 square kilometers. The reservoir covers about 215 hectares and can store up to 15.1 million cubic meters of water. Construction began in 1968 and the dam opened in 1987. The dam is 29 meters high and 286 meters long.
