1975 Winter Universiade
The VIII Winter Universiade, also known as the World University Skiing Championships, was held in Livigno, Italy, from April 6 to 13, 1975. Fifteen nations sent 191 athletes to compete in two sports: alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. The host nation was Italy. The opening ceremony took place on April 6, and Giovanni Leone opened the games. There were no athlete's oaths, no judge's oath, and no torch-lighting ceremony. The main venue was Stadio Invernali.
