El hotel de los famosos
El hotel de los famosos (The Hotel of the Famous) is an Argentine reality show on eltrece. In each season, 16 celebrities stay four months in a luxury hotel with no contact with the outside world, competing for 10 million Argentine pesos.
The show premiered on March 21, 2022 (it was postponed from February 28). It has two seasons by 2023 and is filmed in Cañuelas, Argentina, by BoxFish TV.
Hosts and participants: The show is hosted by Carolina Ardohain and Leandro Leunis. Debate hosts are Rodrigo Lussich and Adrián Pallares; Candela Ruggeri is the digital host, and Locho Loccisano joined in 2023.
How it works: Each week, teams are formed to play challenges that decide who are guests (who enjoy the hotel) and who are hotel staff (who work behind the scenes). Guests stay in upgraded rooms with access to pool, spa, and meals, while staff handle maintenance, cleaning, cooking, gardening, and general upkeep. There are games, parties, live shows, and gourmet dinners by guest chefs. Two guests can become VIPs and access the master suite, the most exclusive room. The staff remain in the Service Area. Every day a new challenge reshapes relationships; winners gain benefits and losers are nominated. There is an all-in nomination, followed by a weekly elimination duel to decide who leaves. The main playing areas are Team Challenge, Individual Challenge, Labyrinth, and the Elimination Duel in the hotel.
