Deverra
Deverra is a Roman goddess linked to midwives and women in labor. She is one of three protectors for these women, along with Pilumnus and Intercidona. Her name comes from Latin deverro, meaning “to sweep away,” and she is symbolized by a broom. Deverra oversees the broom rituals used to purify temples before worship, sacrifices, and celebrations.
