1971 California League season
The 1971 California League was a Class A baseball season that ran from April 16 to September 1. Eight teams played a 140-game schedule, with the season split into two halves. The winner of each half advanced to the California League championship round. The Modesto Reds were the regular-season champions, and the season MVP was George Theodore of the Visalia Mets. In the playoffs, the Visalia Mets defeated the Fresno Giants to win the league championship.
