1903 Massachusetts legislature: The 124th Massachusetts General Court (the Senate and the House) met in 1903 under Governor John L. Bates. The Senate had 40 members led by President George R. Jones. Republicans controlled the Senate with 31 seats to 9 for others. The House had 240 members led by Speaker James J. Myers. Republicans held 154 seats, Democrats 83, and 3 were from other parties. The session ran from January 7 to June 26, 1903.
