A Collection (Third Eye Blind album)
A Collection is a greatest-hits album by Third Eye Blind, released July 18, 2006. It gathers material recorded from 1997 to 2003 and runs 79 minutes. The album features almost all of the band’s singles (except “Anything”), plus fan favorites and three tracks that hadn’t appeared on an album before: “Tattoo of the Sun,” “My Time in Exile,” and “Slow Motion” (with lyrics). It includes liner notes by rock writer James Hunter and track-by-track commentary from Stephan Jenkins. The album was produced by Stephan Jenkins, Eric Valentine, and Arion Salazar. A Collection peaked at No. 103 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for three weeks. To fit the collection, an acoustic version of “Anything” was replaced by “Can’t Get Away,” and remixes of “Losing a Whole Year” and “Graduate” plus a 1995 demo of “Semi-Charmed Life” were left off, with the track order also altered from the original releases.
