18th Asian Film Awards
The 18th Asian Film Awards took place on March 16, 2025, at the Grand Theatre of the Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong. Nominations were announced on January 10, 2025. The ceremony showcased 30 films from 25 countries and regions, competing across 16 award categories. The film Exhuma led with 11 nominations.
Hosts were Jason Chan and Sarah Song. Ambassadors named for the event were Dean Fujioka as ambassador, and Aokbab Chutimon, Austin Lin, Lo Chun-yip, and Masaki Okada as youth ambassadors. The awards were presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) and broadcast live at 17:00 HKT on the AFAA YouTube channel and TVB Plus (Channel 82).
Winners include Best Picture All We Imagine as Light (Payal Kapadia); Best Actor Sean Lau for Papa; Best Actress Shahana Goswami for Santosh. Exhuma won the most awards of the night and also had the most nominations (11).
