1798 United States House of Representatives election in Delaware
In Delaware, the 1798 U.S. House election was held on October 2. Incumbent James A. Bayard Sr., a Federalist, ran for reelection against Archibald Alexander, a Democratic-Republican. Bayard won with 2,792 votes (61.17%), while Alexander received 1,772 votes (38.83%). Bayard remained the U.S. Representative from Delaware.
