FC CSKA Kyiv, full name FC Central Sports Club of the Army Kyiv, is a Ukrainian football club from Kyiv. Its nicknames are the Armymen and Cadets (in Soviet times). The club has a long history tied to Ukraine’s military and the Soviet Armed Forces sports society.

History and name changes
- The club began in 1934 in Kharkiv as UVO Kharkiv (Ukrainian Military District) and was moved to Kyiv the same year. It went through several names linked to the armed forces, including SKVO Kyiv and SKA Kyiv, with 1957 marking an official starting point for the CSK ZSU lineage.
- In 1992, after Ukraine’s independence, the team was reorganized as FC CSKA Kyiv. Its farm team, CSKA-2 Kyiv, existed from 1994 to 2001 and at times operated in tandem with Borysfen Kyiv.
- In the mid-1990s CSKA Kyiv played in the Ukrainian First and Second Leagues. In 2001 the club was sold; the first team became Arsenal Kyiv under Kyiv city ownership, while CSKA-2 Kyiv continued for a time in the leagues.
- In 2009 CSKA Kyiv went bankrupt and disappeared from professional football.

Rebirth as an amateur club
- In 2013 an amateur CSKA Kyiv was established again by Atlant Kyiv and the CSKA Ukraine public organization. Since then the team has competed as an amateur club in Kyiv Region football.
- In 2015 CSKA Kyiv participated in the Makarov Memorial tournament and continues to play in the Kyiv Amateur Championship’s Premier Division.

Stadium and leadership
- Home matches are at the CSK ZSU Stadium in Kyiv, which has a capacity of about 12,000.
- The club’s leadership has included chairman Yuriy Puzhaylo and manager Ruslan Perizhok.
- Ownership has shifted from the military to private sponsorship over the years; today CSKA Kyiv operates as an amateur club within the Kyiv regional leagues.
