İdil Üner
Idil Üner (born 1 August 1971 in West Berlin) is a German-Turkish actress. She studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. She trained in piano for 17 years from age six and had two years of formal opera study. She joined the Turkish-speaking theater Tiyatrom in Berlin, of which her father was a founder. She made her TV debut in Tatort in 1993 and her film debut in Rudolf Thome's Secret of Love. She became known for roles in Fatih Akın and Thomas Arslan films, especially Dealer and In July. She wrote the lyrics for Güneşim, the main song of Im Juli, and in 2001 she wrote and directed a short film, Die Liebenden vom Hotel von Osman, in which she stars with Fatih Akın. In 2004, in Fatih Akin's Visions of Europe segment, she sang Schumann's Die alten, bösen Lieder.
