Zack Granite is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He was born on September 17, 1992, in Staten Island, New York. He bats and throws left-handed. Granite played one season in Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins in 2017. He made his MLB debut on July 8, 2017, and played his last game on October 1, 2017. In his MLB career, he hit .237 with 1 home run and 13 RBIs.

Granite attended Tottenville High School in Staten Island, where he played as an outfielder and pitcher. As a senior, he batted .583 in the postseason and helped Tottenville win the Public Schools Athletic League championship. He then played college baseball at Seton Hall University for the Seton Hall Pirates. As a freshman, he started every game and led the team with a .296 batting average, a .387 on-base percentage, 61 hits, 39 runs, 27 walks, and 10 stolen bases. He also played for the Lakeshore Chinooks in the Northwoods League in 2012.

Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th round of the 2013 MLB draft, Granite began his professional career with the Elizabethton Twins. In 2013 he hit .285 with a .362 on-base percentage in 61 games. He split 2014 between the Gulf Coast League Twins and the Cedar Rapids Kernels, batting .280/.320/.344 in 25 games. In 2015 he played for Cedar Rapids and the Fort Myers Miracle, hitting .266/.349/.328 with one homer and 31 RBIs. In 2016 he played for the Chattanooga Lookouts, hitting .295/.347/.382 with 4 home runs, 52 RBIs, and 56 stolen bases, and was named the Twins Minor League Player of the Year.

After the 2016 season, Granite was added to the Twins’ 40-man roster. In 2017 he played for the Rochester Red Wings before being promoted to the majors. He made his major league debut on July 7, 2017, and appeared as a pinch hitter on July 8 against the Orioles. In 107 plate appearances for Minnesota that year, he hit .237 with 1 home run and 13 RBIs.

Granite dealt with a shoulder injury in spring training 2018 and batted .140 in MLB that year. He spent 2018 in Triple-A Rochester, hitting .211. He was designated for assignment in February 2019 and was traded to the Texas Rangers in March 2019. With the Nashville Sounds in 2019, he hit .290 with 3 home runs and 37 RBIs. He was outrighted off the Rangers’ 40-man roster on October 31, 2019 and elected free agency on November 4, 2019.

On November 22, 2019, Granite signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. The 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and he became a free agent on November 2, 2020. He signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox on April 2, 2021, and played 51 games for the Double-A Birmingham Barons, hitting .226 with 5 home runs and 24 RBIs. On July 12, 2021, Granite retired from professional baseball.
