Yuka Tsujiyoko

Yuka Tsujiyoko (辻横 由佳), born Yuka Bamba, is a Japanese video game music composer from Uji in Kyoto Prefecture. She began playing piano as a preschooler and wrote her first original piece in high school. She studied electronic engineering at Osaka Electro-Communication University and worked as a computer programmer before joining Intelligent Systems.

Tsujiyoko is best known for composing music for Fire Emblem and Paper Mario, along with other Intelligent Systems games. She also scored Battle Clash and Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge for the Super Scope. Her influences include Pat Metheny, and Hirokazu Tanaka, who mentored her on her first game project, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. She has been active as a composer since 1990, and her main instrument is the piano.
