Nordland I is the eleventh studio album by Swedish extreme metal band Bathory. It was released on 18 November 2002 by Black Mark Production. The album returns to Bathory’s Viking metal style from their mid-career period and mainly features songs about Norse mythology. All tracks were written by Quorthon. Recording took place from July to September 2002, and the album was produced by Borje Forsberg and Quorthon. The total length is 59 minutes and 21 seconds. It follows Destroyer of Worlds (2001) and precedes Nordland II (2003).
