Bummerville, California
Bummerville is an unincorporated community in Calaveras County, California, about 1 mile east of the town of West Point. It sits at an elevation of about 898 meters (2,946 feet). The name is often listed among unusual place names. Historically, Bummerville was a mining community known for gold and tungsten, and it once had a school, a hotel, a blacksmith shop, and several boarding houses. Today, the area is mainly residential, with homes along Bummerville Road.
