Xanthosia dissecta, commonly known as cut-leaved xanthosia, is a small flowering plant in the Apiaceae family native to south-eastern Australia.

Description
It is a low, tufted herb that grows up to about 10 cm tall with many-branched, low-lying stems. Most leaves are at the base and are deeply dissected into small lobes. Leaves are about 5–20 mm long and 15–25 mm wide on stalks up to 8 mm. Each leaf is divided into 2 or 3 parts, with lobes 1–2 mm long. The tiny flowers are white or reddish and arranged in one or two small clusters (umbels) on short branches, with up to 3 flowers per cluster. Each small umbel is subtended by a 2–3 mm bract. Sepals and petals are about 1 mm long. Flowering occurs in spring or summer.

Taxonomy
Xanthosia dissecta was first described in 1840 by Joseph Dalton Hooker from specimens collected in Tasmania. The name dissecta means “deeply divided.”

Distribution and habitat
This plant grows in wet heath and heath woodland near streams or swamps. It occurs south of Lawson and Bulli Pass in New South Wales, and also in southern Victoria and Tasmania.
