Stadio Nuovo Romagnoli
Stadio Nuovo Romagnoli, officially called Stadio Antonio Molinari, is a football stadium in Campobasso, Molise, Italy. It is mostly used for soccer and is the home ground of Campobasso FC, who play in Serie C. The stadium can hold about 21,800 spectators, with 4,000 seats officially approved, and it has a grass playing surface. It is also commonly called Selvapiana.
Construction began in 1983 and the stadium opened on February 13, 1985, when Campobasso beat Juventus 1–0 in a Coppa Italia match. It was designed by architect Constantino Rozzi. The nickname “New Romagnoli” comes from the old stadium named after Giovanni Romagnoli, though the new stadium has never had an official name. There have been talks about naming it after Michele Scorrano, a Campobasso captain who died in 2009.
The stadium has hosted notable events, including Napoli playing there from September 2001 to January 2002 after their stadium was damaged by a storm. On June 3, 2003, Italy beat Northern Ireland 2–0 in a friendly held to raise funds for Molise earthquake relief.
In 2018, after Campobasso FC changed ownership, the stadium received upgrades, such as repainting the seats in red and blue and other improvements.
