Prothereua
Prothereua is a small group (genus) of centipedes in the family Scutigeridae. It has only one species, Prothereua annulata. This centipede is found only in Australia, with the first specimen collected in Perth, in southwestern Western Australia. The genus and species were first described in 1925 by German scientist Karl Wilhelm Verhoeff.
