Miguel Paludo
Miguel Paludo is a Brazilian racer born on July 26, 1983, in Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul. He currently races full-time in the Porsche GT3 Cup Brasil Carrera Cup Series and has won four Porsche titles: Carrera Cup Brasil in 2008, 2009, and 2020, plus the Endurance Series championship in 2017 (and a 2025 title as listed). He began racing go-karts at 14, then moved to touring cars in Brazil in 2004 with his family’s team, later earning major success in Porsche racing in Brazil.
Paludo started NASCAR in 2010, competing in the K&N Pro Series East and the Truck Series. In 2011 he ran full-time in the Truck Series, finishing 17th in points and fourth in Rookie of the Year. In 2012 he joined Turner Scott Motorsports, earning a Truck Series pole at Daytona (the first Brazilian to win a top-series pole) and finishing 10th in points in 2013. He also had two Nationwide/Xfinity starts in 2012, with a best finish of 13th at Watkins Glen. He left NASCAR after 2013 due to sponsorship issues.
He returned to NASCAR in 2021 with JR Motorsports for three road-course races in the Xfinity Series, and did the same three events in 2022. Since then, he has focused on Porsche racing in Brazil and remains a well-known figure in the sport.
Personal: Paludo lives in Mooresville, North Carolina, with his wife Patricia and their son Oliver, who is also a Type 1 diabetic. He has been an advocate for diabetes awareness since his own diagnosis in 2004.
