Woodland Beach, Michigan
Woodland Beach is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Frenchtown Charter Township, Monroe County, Michigan, along the shore of Lake Erie. It is about 4 miles northeast of Monroe.
The population was 1,899 at the 2020 census. The area is 0.53 square miles in total, with 0.52 square miles of land and a tiny amount of water. Elevation is 577 feet.
Most of Woodland Beach lies southeast of North Dixie Highway, with a small part to the northwest. Nearby communities include Detroit Beach to the southwest and Stony Point about 3 miles to the east.
The CDP includes several lakefront neighborhoods: Erie Shores, Grand Beach, Indian Trails, and Woodland Beach itself. ZIP code is 48162 (Monroe) and the area code is 734. Jefferson Schools serve the area.
The name comes from its wooded setting and its beachfront on Lake Erie.
