Anita L. Barone is an American actress born on September 25, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri. She trained at the University of Detroit Mercy (BFA) and Wayne State University (MFA in theatre), studying with Robert T. Hazzard. Barone is best known for her work on television, including The Jeff Foxworthy Show, The War at Home, Shake It Up, and her early appearance on Friends as Carol Willick, Ross’s wife. She left Friends to pursue other full-time roles, and Jane Sibbett later joined the show.

Life and career
Barone appeared in TV and film throughout the 1990s and 2000s. On Seinfeld, she played Gail Cunningham in the episode “The Shoes.” She was a regular on Carol & Company and later co-starred on The Jeff Foxworthy Show (1995–1996) and The War at Home (2005–2007). She also acted in many other series, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Quantum Leap, Empty Nest, Ally McBeal, Caroline in the City, Party of Five, Castle, Do Not Disturb, and Shake It Up, where she played Officer Georgia Jones. In 2004 she appeared in the film One Last Ride, for which she won the Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award in 2005. Her later TV work includes stints on Desperate Housewives, A Million Little Things, and Brews Brothers.

Personal life
Barone is married to actor Matthew Glave since 2000. They have two daughters, Madeline and Roxanne, and live in Los Angeles.
