List of World War II weapons used in Ireland
During World War II, Ireland stayed neutral and prepared to defend against possible invasions from Britain and Germany. It cooperated with the Allies in limited ways, including Plan W, allowing Allied aircraft to pass through the Donegal Corridor, and sharing Atlantic weather data to help plan D-Day.
The IRA had ties with Nazi Germany in Operation Dove, but it was not part of the Irish army and received no government support, so it is not included in the weapons list.
Ireland also used many British weapons that came from World War I, because conflicts after WWI left Irish forces with a stock of British arms. These older weapons were still in use during World War II.
