Toshiyuki “Tosh” Seino (born October 26, 1938) is an American former judo competitor and instructor. He was born in Hawthorne, California. During World War II, Seino and his family were imprisoned at Tule Lake, after which they moved to Japan. There he trained in judo and won many competitions, even beating heavyweight Olympic medalist George Harris while Seino fought as a middleweight. He returned to the United States at age 20. Seino became the AAU National Champion in judo and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1959 as a self-defense instructor. He represented the United States in three Judo World Championships and competed in the Pan American Games in 1963 (São Paulo) and 1967 (Winnipeg) in the U70 kg class, and in the Pan American Judo Championships in 1965 (Guatemala City) and 1968 (San Juan) in the U68 kg and U70 kg classes. He holds an 8th dan black belt, is affiliated with Gardena Judo Club, and is married to Midori Seino. He is 5 ft 9 in tall.
