Hypnogyra is a genus of rove beetles in the family Staphylinidae. It was described by Casey in 1906. Some species have been placed in the synonym Phalacrolinus (Coiffait, 1972). About 16 species are recognized. They occur in Europe, Japan, and North America. Hypnogyra belongs to the subfamily Staphylininae.
