Wintergreen (1906–1914) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 1909 Kentucky Derby, becoming the first Ohio-bred horse to win the Derby. Bred and trained by Jerome B. Respess at his Ohio stud farm, Wintergreen raced from age two to seven. He did not win any other major stakes races but competed at stakes level for much of his career.

His sire was Dick Welles and his dam was Winter. He was gelded later in his career and raced for D. Fisk. He was trained by Charles Mack and had a racing record of 61 starts with 16 wins, 14 seconds, and 8 thirds, earning $12,820.

Wintergreen died in a barn fire on April 10, 1914, at Latonia Race Track in Covington, Kentucky.

Pedigree note: He has King Tom in his bloodline, appearing in multiple generations on both sides of the family tree.
