William Keith-Falconer, 6th Earl of Kintore

William Keith-Falconer, 6th Earl of Kintore (1766–1812) was a Dutch-Scottish aristocrat and soldier who held several titles: Earl of Kintore, Lord Keith of Inverurie and Keith Hall, and Lord Falconer of Halkerton.

Early life
He was born on 11 December 1766, the only son of Anthony Keith-Falconer, 5th Earl of Kintore, and Christina Elizabeth Sichterman, a Dutchwoman. He had seven sisters. His paternal grandfather was William Falconer, 6th Lord Falconer of Halkerton, and his maternal grandfather was Jan Albert Sichterman, a Dutch official.

Career
Keith-Falconer became an officer in the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys). In 1804, after his father’s death, he inherited the family titles and became the 6th Earl of Kintore, as well as the related Scottish peerages.

Personal life
On 18 June 1793 he married Maria Bannerman, daughter of Sir Alexander Bannerman. They had three children: Anthony Adrian Keith-Falconer, who would become the 7th Earl of Kintore; Lady Maria Keith-Falconer; and Hon. William Keith-Falconer. Maria died in 1826.

Death and succession
William Keith-Falconer died on 6 October 1812, aged 45. He was succeeded by his eldest son, Anthony, as the 7th Earl of Kintore.
