Western red-billed hornbill (Tockus kempi) is a small hornbill found in West Africa. It lives from Senegal and Gambia to southern Mauritania and western Mali. It belongs to the hornbill family Bucerotidae and the genus Tockus. Some sources treat it as its own species, while others place it in the Tockus erythrorhynchus species group.

Appearance: It has a curved red beak that is orange on the lower part and bright red on the upper part, ending in dark orange. Its head is greyish white with black feathers along the back of the head and neck. The face is white with large dark grey eye rings. The eyes have a dark brown sclera and black pupils. Its wings show a pattern of white spots on a black background, with white on the upper interior and black on the lower interior. The tail feathers are black on the outside and grey-white on the inside.
