Wermad (also spelled Wiomad, Weomad, or Wiemad; Latin: Weomadus or Wiomagus) was the Bishop of Trier from about 757/758 until his death on 8 November 791. He accompanied Charlemagne on his campaigns, including the 774 conquest of Italy and efforts against the Avars. As bishop, he secured full autonomy for the diocese, and Trier’s church properties gained immunity from the jurisdiction of local counts.
