Wawa River (Nicaragua)

The Wawa River, also called Rio Wawa or Rio Hauhau, is a river in Nicaragua's North Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region. It flows southeast through northeastern Nicaragua toward the Caribbean and the Mosquito Coast. It joins Laguna de Karata just south of Puerto Cabezas before emptying into the Caribbean Sea.
