Lava Canyon is a canyon on the Chilko River in British Columbia, Canada. It sits about 35 kilometres downstream from where the Chilko River leaves Chilko Lake, in the Chilcotin region of the Interior. The canyon is named for its tall, columnar basalt cliffs, formed by ancient volcanic activity in the area. Its approximate coordinates are 51.8833° N, 123.9000° W.
