Water and Power
Water and Power is a 1989 American experimental documentary by Pat O'Neill. It looks at the relationship between nature and people in Los Angeles and how the city’s heavy water use is changing the surrounding desert. The film runs 57 minutes and is in English. It premiered in New York on October 1, 1989. It won the Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 1990 Sundance Film Festival. In 2009, it was selected for the U.S. National Film Registry as culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. The Academy Film Archive preserved Water and Power in 2009, with Pat O’Neill.
