Wandsbek Markt station
Wandsbek Markt is an underground station in Hamburg, Germany. It sits at Wandsbeker Marktplatz in the center of Wandsbek, the heart of the Hamburg borough of Wandsbek. The station is a major transfer point between the Hamburg U-Bahn and buses.
What it is like
- Line and structure: It is on the U1 line and has one island platform with two tracks. The station is underground and accessible for all passengers.

History
- Construction began in 1958, and the station opened on 28 October 1962. It was the end of the line (terminus) until 3 March 1963.
- The station was significantly renovated from 2000 to 2003, and the bus terminal was updated by 2005.

- The central bus terminal (ZOB) is located on Wandsbeker Marktplatz, above the underground station.
- It serves eight HHA bus lines, two express lines, and three metro bus lines.
- Wandsbek Markt bus terminal is one of Germany’s largest, handling about 50,000 passengers and 110 buses per hour.

- Hamburger Hochbahn AG operates the station, and there are staffed ticket offices and ticket machines for convenience.
