Wall (2017 film)
Wall is a Canadian animated documentary released in 2017. It is directed by Cam Christiansen and is based on David Hare’s stage monologue Wall, exploring the Israeli West Bank barrier and its effect on peace in the Middle East. The film was produced by the National Film Board of Canada, runs 82 minutes, and is in English.
The project was announced in 2011 for a 2014 release but was delayed. It premiered on September 25, 2017, at the Calgary International Film Festival and later competed at the 2018 Annecy International Animation Film Festival for the Cristal award for best feature. Wall opened in Canadian theatres in 2018. In 2019, it was shown again in Calgary with a talk by writer Marcello Di Cintio.
