Saint-Rémy is a small commune in the Calvados department in Normandy, northwestern France. It covers 17.52 square kilometers and had 996 residents in 2023, with a population density of about 132 people per square kilometer. The elevation ranges from 26 to 216 meters above sea level, averaging around 37 meters.

The mayor for 2020–2026 is Serge Ladan. Saint-Rémy is part of the Suisse Normande area and includes several villages and hamlets: Le Pont de la Moussé, Nid de Chien, La Gennière, La Piventière, La Moussé, La Muloisière, L'Église, La Vallée and Saint-Rémy itself.

The River Orne and five streams—Herbion, La Porte, La Vallée des Vaux, La Vignonniere, and Le Val Fournet—flow through the area. The commune shares in a Natura 2000 conservation area called Vallée de l'Orne et ses affluents, which covers about 2,115 hectares and involves around 20 other communes.
