Waldron is a small, unincorporated community in southwestern Platte County, Missouri. It sits near the edge of the Missouri River floodplain, about one mile southeast of Route 45. Interstate 435 crosses the Missouri River about 2.5 miles south of Waldron, and the Burlington Northern Railroad runs by the area. Waldron is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The town was laid out in 1869 by J. M. Waldron and M. H. Waldron, and it was named after them. A post office has been operating in Waldron since 1869.
