WUCF-FM is a listener-supported public radio station in Orlando, Florida, owned by the University of Central Florida. It is one of Central Florida’s two NPR member stations, along with WMFE-FM. The station plays jazz and blues around the clock and airs NPR news at the top of every hour. It features its own jazz programming and also broadcasts syndicated jazz shows from NPR and partners, including Jazz Inspired, Jazz Profiles, JazzWorks, and Jazz Night In America. WUCF-FM also airs reruns of news programs Metro Center Outlook and Global Perspectives from its sister station WUCF-TV. Since 2002, it has carried Smokestack Lightnin’, a syndicated blues-rock program.

WUCF-FM first signed on January 30, 1978. Its original call sign was WFTU-FM (1978–1979).

Technical and ownership details: Frequency 89.9 FM, with HD Radio subchannels HD2 Latin jazz and HD3 BEACON. It transmits with 360 watts horizontal and 5,600 watts vertical, at a height of 145 meters. It is a Class C3 station, licensed by the FCC (Facility ID 69229).
