WTPA (980 AM) is a South Florida radio station licensed to Pompano Beach, Florida. It broadcasts Haitian Creole programming and is owned by Sam Rogatinsky's HMDF, LLC. The studios are in Boca Raton, and the last transmitter site used was in Parkland.

History:
The station began as WLOD on May 1, 1959, at 980 kHz in Pompano Beach, originally called the “Wonderful Land of Dreams.” It went through several call signs over the years: WLOD (1959–1978), WPIP (1978–1982), WBSS (1982–1986), WWHR (1986–1987), WWNN (1987–1997). In 1997 it became WHSR and aired Haitian Creole programming. Much of the airtime was brokered to Haitian broadcaster Lesly Jacques (Radio Haiti Amérique Internationale). In 2019, the Nob Hill Road transmitter site used by WHSR was sold; WHSR and WSBR signed off December 1, 2019. Haitian programming moved to WSRF 1580 AM, and Indian programming moved to WWNN. In 2021 Beasley sold WHSR and related translator to HMDF. On November 1, 2021, Rogatinsky moved the WTPA call letters from 1590 AM near Tampa to 980 AM, allowing 1590 AM to become WHOT.

Current:
980 AM now carries WTPA’s Haitian Creole programming under HMDF, LLC.
