Angelo Lano
Angelo Joseph Lano (born January 12, 1939) is a former FBI agent who served from 1961 to 1990 in Washington, D.C. He led the FBI's Watergate investigation and later testified in the case. Lano was among several agents wrongly accused of leaking information to reporters for The Washington Post, which helped shift White House suspicions away from Mark Felt, who was later revealed as Deep Throat in 2005. He has been portrayed in film and television: Ike Barinholtz played him in the 2017 movie Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House, and Chris Messina played him in the 2022 TV series Gaslit.
